Apohaqui Elementary School is nestled in a
small village in a rural geographic area of over 500 square kilometers
and 5800 citizens. As indicated by the meaning of the aboriginal name
Apohaqui, we are located at the "joining of two rivers"-- the
Kennebecasis and the Millstream -- in New Brunswick. Our students enjoy
our climate of a warm summer, cool spring and fall, and a cold snowy
winter.
Our school goals are to achieve strong literacy
and numeracy skills as well as to gain pro-social skills important in
every aspect of life. Our families strive for their children to achieve
a solid education from which to build a strong foundation for healthy
family, productive work, and involved community lives. The extended
family also plays an important role in our children's lives.
